KEV'S THOUGHT 4 TODAY- EXCUSES ARE LIKE ARMPITS EVERYBODY'S GOT A COUPLE AND THEY STINK

According to a spokesman the attacker is just a vulnerable bloke that’s been radicalised and taken advantage of by Muslim extremists. The would-be bomber naively transported some explosive device to the Giraffe café in Exeter England. The viable nail bomb was designed to explode, maim and kill innocent men, women and children. But it’s the assailant who is apparently weak and vulnerable. The suspect is described as being brain washed and having a low I Q. If he’s so pathetic why didn’t they send in a social worker or counsellor to raid an adress associated with the bomber? Why did they use a bunch of armed police officers to do the search? Just because you have a low IQ or can be taken advantage of does not make you innocent. Nobody these days takes the blame for the things they do wrong. Ask the young teenagers why they carry knives. It’s not to kill anyone it’s only to protect themselves. It’s the other gang’s fault. And whatever you do don’t upset the youf. Police officers should not stop and search any young suspects for these deadly weapons. You might antagonise them. Then they’ll have another excuse to riot against the establishment. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not a goody two shoes or a golden angel. I’ve done my fair share of misdeeds. But I do believe in good old fashioned confession. Its God’s way of making us be honest about our sin.

KEVIN COLEY'S THOUGHT 4 THE DAY-SUPERGRAN YOUNG AT HEART

yah_clip1.jpgYou can take 10 years off your face with plastic surgery. You can slow down the aging process by using the right anti-aging products. But more than anything stay young by living young. No we’re not so naïve as to underestimate the problems people face in later years. As we get older we change both physically and psychologically. Loss of faculties, loss of energy and ill health, are some of the problems relating to old age. Lifting a kettle, opening a door, posting a letter can be a burden to a frail old pensioner. But thankfully we have some great role models to inspire us fearful youngsters and sulking middle-agers. Great-gran Elsie Owen, 84, is just one of many. Elsie, from Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk has raised £1,500 for cancer charities. Guess what she did to raise the cash? Knit some jumpers? No. Bake some cakes? No. Save some pennies in a jar? No. She raised the money by participating in a tandem parachute jump. Stop shaming me super-gran. I have trouble sitting on the big wheel at the fair ground. Elsie’s achievement impressed me further when I learned that she was a bowel cancer survivor. When asked what she thought about the parachute jump she replied "absolutely brilliant". I think you are too Elsie. As for the rest of us, let’s find a new thing to do every birthday.
