 It was reported yesterday that a sex tape of the late movie legend Marilyn Monroe was sold to an anonymous businessman for £760,000. The 15 minute movie clip shows Marilyn in a compromising position who is according to declassified FBI documents ‘performing a perverted sex act on an unidentified man’. The silent black and white movie was discovered when Keya Morgan a memorabilia collector was doing some research for a documentary on Monroe.  ‘You can see instantly that it’s Marilyn Monroe, she has the famous mole and she’s radiant…..’ Apparently the movie was filmed before Monroe became a screen goddess. But everyone can rest assured that the anonymous business man will not make a Paris Hilton out of her. He doesn’t want to exploit Marilyn or put the content of the sex video onto the internet. No he’s going to lock it up and protect her reputation. That’s kind of him. But he clearly doesn’t respect Marilyn or her relatives enough to destroy the tape. And who knows, he may be tempted to have a peep at Marilyn’s distinct mole every now and again. Isn’t it ironic that in the 1970’s the pop singer Elton John wrote a famous song about Marilyn called ‘candle in the wind?’ The lyrics of one verse of that song are poignant. ‘Even when you died, oh the press still hounded you, all the papers had to say was that Marilyn was found in the nude’. And here we are again 46 years after the lady’s death (suicide? Or murder?). The press are still reporting about Marilyn. But all they have to say is that she’s been found in the nude. Get a life will ya!
