KEVIN COLEY'S THOUGHT 4 THE DAY-SIMON COWELL AND JESUS
Music mogul “Simon Cowell is a gift from God he speaks truth just like Jesus did” said one excited fan of the X-Factor show. But we have evidence to the contrary. Simon is not in the same league as Jesus. Simon recently laughed off reports that he gifted X-Factor winner Leona Lewis with a £2.5 million mansion after she landed the number one spot in the US pop charts. Simon has dismissed the reports. He was asked if the rumours were true and he replied, "No! If I did that I'd be broke every time I had a hit." You see there’s the difference. Simon Cowell does not purchase mansions for his stars. But Jesus said, “In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you” the Gospel of John Chapter 14 verse 2. Now that’s a special present.
KEVIN COLEY'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Peter Pan Imagine a place where children can fly and exciting, and frightening, adventures happen every single day. A place where your enemies are defeated and friends are made and no one has to grow up. Few people would complain about a place like that. But alas critics have said that the Peter Pan El musical theatre play is sub-Eurovision. The plastic looking scenery was apparently sourced by the Early Learning Centre. I guess you can’t imitate paradise. Disney fairies, fiction Islands and dream worlds fall apart if they are not real. Just like Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch. It was named after the place in the Peter Pan story. But that too fell apart. Michael has not been on the premises since 2005. Since then all the exotic animals have been removed and Neverland has fallen into disrepair. Perhaps another super star will purchase the ranch and save the day. Maybe an entertainment company will step in and revamp the property. I’m praying that Disney World will hold out. But all is not lost, there is a never-ending happy place. And Jesus encouraged us to invest in it when he said, ‘store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal’.
