KEVIN COLEY'S THOUGHT 4 THE DAY al-Fayed Draws The Line

3326751677-mohamed-al-fayed-abandons-legal-quest1.jpgMohamed al-Fayed wept in a press interview and said that he was abandoning his legal battle to prove that his son Dodi and Princess Diana had been murdered. ‘Enough is enough’…’I’m tired you know’ are some of the comments the bereaved father made on ITV’s News at Ten programme. Al-Fayed is still hurting very much over the death of his son. We may not have lost anyone in such quirky circumstances. But we probably all know of someone who died in a car crash or by other unfortunate means. The experience of grief is universal and felt by every person during a course of a lifetime. It’s also a complex emotion and is different for each of us. After loosing a loved one we may greave for a long time and the pain may never seem to end. For others there can be gradual progress back to stability so that life can proceed normally. Mr al-Fayed may never come to terms with his loss. But thankfully now his life can get back to some kind of normality. Mr al-Fayed can find a measure of peace and contentment. He can also concentrate on doing something positive everyday as a tribute to Dodi’s memory. But what about the bitterness, conspiracies and unanswered questions relating to his son’s death? Al-fayed wisely decided to leave those matters to God. Perhaps we should do the same with some of the hurtful things we can’t change.

KEVIN COLEY'S THOUGHT 4 THE DAY

news1.jpgI'M NAOMI CAMPBELL

Yesterday Naomi allegedly spat at airline stewards and insulted a police officer because BA lost one of her suit cases. The incident occurred in T5 where Hundreds of flights have been cancelled and thousands of bags have gone missing since the terminal opened recently. The kafuffle ended with Naomi being carted off to the police station where she was finger printed and DNA swabbed like a criminal. I don’t think Naomi behaves like this because she’s famous. I think she’s human just like the rest of us. But she sure has a bob on her self. ‘Get all my bags on flight I’m Naomi Campbell’ she blurted. Does she really think airline workers put her bags on the plane because she’s Naomi Campbell?’ No! The staff put her luggage on the plane because Naomi paid £6,000 for the flight. That’s all Naomi. They are not helping you out of the kindness of their hearts. They are not doing you a favour because you are a supermodel. You are not in first class accommodation because you are a cut above the rest of us. It’s only the money. Not the name.
